Welcome to Peterborough Scale Model Club. We are a friendly bunch of Scale Model enthusiasts who meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month between 1930hrs to 2130hrs. New venue is: Peterborough Post Office Sports & Social Club, Bourges Boulevard, New England, Peterborough. PE1 2AU. Our members make a diverse range of scale models including cars, tanks, AFVs, aircraft, boats, sci-fi and many more. A small competition is held monthly as a bit of fun and we also hold two main competitions in the year, a summer one and a winter one. Peterborough scale model club hold a annual model show, this is held at The Queen Katharine Academy, usually in the first half of March each year. We attend several model shows around the country including the IPMS Telford show (The Nationals). Membership is £6 a year. Anyone interested in this pleasurable, relaxing and rewarding hobby are welcome to come and join us. There is a wealth of knowledge within our membership, so why not pop along and meet everyone.

The Club (formerly known as the Greater Peterborough Model Club) was established in the Spring of 1997 after a suitable venue at the Royal Oak Public House had been secured. A set of rules were drawn up and approved. An annual Membership fee was set and a monthly Agenda put in place. In April 1998 the first Club Show took place in Yaxley. This proved to be such a success that we were inspired to move the venue for future shows to the Peterborough Town Hall. This allowed the Club to increase the number of Traders and other Model Groups that could be accommodated. This again proved to be a great success with proceeds, after expenses were deducted, being raised for various charities. In 2014 the Club changed the name to The Peterborough Scale Model Club in order to establish a Web site. Over the years the Club has become a well established and highly respected organisation in the modelling community and has been kindly supported by the likes of Airfix Model World and Flypast at our annual shows, in recent years. The venue for the annual show has moved once again and is now held at a superb location, The Voyager Academy to the north of the city. Funds continue to be raised for charities. The Club has continued to thrive and expand over the last 25 years due to a dedicated and skilled membership.
