Welcome to the Peterborough Scale Model Club! We are a friendly group of scale model enthusiasts who gather on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 1930hrs to 2130hrs. Our new venue is the Peterborough Post Office Sports & Social Club, located at Bourges Boulevard, New England, Peterborough, PE1 2AU. Within our scale modelers club, members create a wide variety of scale models, including cars, tanks, AFVs, aircraft, boats, and sci-fi models, among others. We encourage members to bring their latest builds to display and discuss over a beer or two in a welcoming atmosphere. Each month, we hold a fun competition, along with two major competitions annually—one in summer and another in winter. The Peterborough Scale Model Club also hosts an annual model show, typically in the first half of March at The Queen Katharine Academy. We participate in several model shows across the country, including the prestigious IPMS Telford show (The Nationals). Membership is just £6 a year. Anyone interested in this enjoyable, relaxing, and rewarding hobby is welcome to join us. Our scale modelers club is filled with a wealth of knowledge, so why not pop along and meet everyone?

The Club, originally known as the Greater Peterborough Model Club, was established in the Spring of 1997 after a suitable venue was secured at the Royal Oak Public House. A set of rules was drawn up and approved, along with an annual membership fee and a monthly agenda. In April 1998, the first show of the scale model club took place in Yaxley. This event was such a success that we were inspired to move future shows to the Peterborough Town Hall, allowing us to accommodate more traders and other model groups. This also proved to be a great success, with proceeds raised for various charities after expenses were deducted. In 2014, the Club rebranded as The Peterborough Scale Model Club to establish a website. Over the years, this scale modelers club has become a well-respected organization within the modeling community, receiving support from notable names like Airfix Model World and Flypast at our annual shows. The venue for our annual show has moved once again and is now hosted at the superb Voyager Academy to the north of the city, where we continue to raise funds for charities. The Club has thrived and expanded over the last 25 years thanks to a dedicated and skilled membership.
